Mother Earth Peanut Butter in a Nutshell

Made with Superior High Oleic Peanuts

When it comes to Mother Earth, only the best nuts make the cut. We only use high oleic peanuts, a different peanut variety to standard peanuts only grown in Australia and Argentina.

  • Great tasting

  • Ideal for peanut butter because it keeps fresher for longer

  • Plant- based, beneficial fats

    • High oleic peanuts contain significant amounts of oleic acid (a monounsaturated fatty acid found naturally in plant-based fats and oils)

Scientific evidence has shown that a Mediterranean style diet, which combines a variety of whole foods, including plant-based ingredients such as legumes, nuts, seeds and oils that are higher in monounsaturated fatty acids, is better for you.

This table helps to explain the important link between high oleic acid and the nutritional quality of the fatty acids in the peanut butter made from high oleic peanuts.

High oleic peanuts have an increased level of monounsaturated fatty acids (84%), which is 31% greater than normal peanuts and 10% more than olive oil and avocado oil.

Low Glycaemic Index (G.I.)

The energy from foods with a low G.I. is released slowly and gradually, because they are slowly digested and cause a slow rise in blood sugar levels.

Peanuts are a low carbohydrate and high fat food, which is why they are a low G.I. food. Peanuts have a low G.I. value (13-23).*

Foods which are measured as low G.I. can provide more sustained energy release compared to high G.I. foods, for example, foods that are high in added sugars.

Peanut Butter has therefore a naturally low G.I. and adds not only recommended monounsaturated fatty acids (beneficial fats) and a protein boost to your meals but is also packed in micronutrients including magnesium, folate, niacin and vitamin E.
